MoU signing ceremony between the University and St. John's Ambulance
The University of Embu and St. John's Ambulance on Thursday 26th September, 2024 signed a Memorandum Of Understanding that will see both Institutions enjoy mutual benefit in elevating the livelihood of the Community . The ceremony was officiated by the VC, Prof. Daniel Mugendi who was represented by the DVC, Academics, Research and Extension, Prof. Kiplagat Kotut and the C.E.O, St. John's Ambulance, Dr. James Wanjangi. Also present was the Chairperson, St. John Ambulance, Eastern Region, Mr. Elisha Karuguti, members of the University of Embu Management and other Faculty members form the School of Nursing and the Health Department.
St. John's Ambulance was established more than 90 years ago and in the year 2013, it was recognized as a Priory group with a membership of more than 40,000 volunteers who have committed themselves in the noble course of saving the livelihood. They are currently with 6 Counties and they are looking forward to collaborating with the remaining 41 counties.
